Please note this fee is to cover administration due to the limited spaces available and demand. Alternatively, if you’d like to audition for Stagebox for free please head to our online auditions. Our workshop session is a taster experience of the way we work at Stagebox.

What to prepare

There is nothing to prepare in advance. The sessions will be led as a workshop.

What to wear

Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in and either trainers or jazz shoes

How long will my session be?

Sessions will be for a minimum of 2 hours. Please be prepared to stay all day in case of recall or further interview. We kindly ask one parent/guardian to wait during the session.

Is there any funding for Stagebox?

Yes. We allocate bursaries after auditions each year. There are two ways to audition for Stagebox- via audition workshop or via our free online audition.

I can't see an audition date for the centre I want to audition for. What should I do?

Our 2023 auditions are open for memberships in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. Our Spring tour has finished and we are now booking for our Summer tour. We are auditioning in person in London, Leeds and Edinburgh this August so please come and meet us there or alternatively you can audition from home via our free online auditions. Our members travel for our musical theatre membership from across the UK, Europe and worldwide.

How do I audition for acting for screen?

If you’re auditioning for musical theatre then acting will also be assessed on the day. If you’d like to audition for acting for screen exclusively please head to our online auditions where you’ll find scripts and tutorials for self tape.

Do I need any experience?

No you don’t need previous experience to audition. Many of our members join with professional experience or a strong training background but this is not required for successful entry.
